Catalog Description

Introduction to public health approaches for the prevention and control of disease and injury, drawn from epidemiology, health policy, behavioral health, environmental health, community organizing, maternal and child health and other public health disciplines. Examination of contemporary health challenges with an emphasis on addressing social determinants to improve health for all.

Section Notes

This class requires one mandatory live online meeting and the use of Canvas with no required in-person meetings. Live online meeting takes place on Wednesday, 9/3 from 5:10pm-6pm and require the use of CityZoom, Zoom鈥檚 web conferencing platform in Canvas, using an internet enabled device. Students will also complete coursework in Canvas, which must be accessed using an internet enabled device. This class is part of and is 16 weeks.
